. RE: Some galleries who want to charge per submission. . I'm an E6 socio-economic bracket artist. And I get sick of being asked to pay fees just to submit. . Small Fees and commission IF I am selected, I am OK with. But a charge per mere application is Bull Shit. These lot are Not the RCA!! We have no guarantee that you don't just harvest the application money like a Hoover and not even bother to look at the submissions. You are asking for a level of trust that you would need to be a gullible dumb arse to give. . You should know your market and be able to make money from a 405 to 50% commission on sales. . With maybe a 40£ to 50£ handling fee per work to offset expense risks of 'no sale', against some of the running costs. . And these numbers should be MUCH lower if you are Not a top-rated gallery! . If you cannot survive on that model Then maybe you are not competent enough run run a gallery. And you should become an art teacher instead?! . Asking for money per submis...
