I AM A TREASONOUS CARNIVORE!

Personally, I am pro-meat
(This is not one of my satire bits, I really am a carnivore!)

One of my favourite jokes is,
“I am an animal lover,"
"that is why I eat so many of them!”

My vegetarian ex-wife, as you can imagine, is unimpressed!
(The poor woman, no longer, has put up with my crap jokes for years,)
.
But Logically,
When you realise how land-intensive meat production is,
(compared to plant-based production).
And that the Very Conservative estimate of exponential human population growth 1.2 every 20 years.
The Vegans of the world MUST “Win!”
.
This is without taking water resources used into consideration!
.
(PS: Note I said exponential growth, If you think 1.2 is merely a small number then get a math teacher to explain the concept of ‘exponential growth’ to you!)
The only other option is, some future,
‘Marvel Thanos Infinity War’ Type Tyrant in our future culling our population manually!

Why 1.2 Exponential human population growth.
(Super conservative estimate! It is actually much higher than this!)
Is bad!

It is VERY bad!
1.2 sounds like nothing.
1.2 sound pretty insignificant.
Most people would love to only have to pay 1.2 taxes!
Most people would have a riot if they only got a 1.2 pay raise!
But 1.2 as expediential growth is actually a huge number!

So what is Exponential growth?
.
A Chinese Emperor once wanted and artists to produce a marvellous piece of work for him.
The artist produced an 8x8 chequered board and said,
"I will be most honoured,
All I ask for in payment is a single grain of rice on the first square."
.
"And for each day I work you double the number of grains each day until all the squares are used up."
.
The second day the Artist would receive 2 grains of rice,
.
On the third day, he got 4 grains of rice.
.
On the fourth day, he got 8 grains of rice.
.
An 8x8 Checkered board contains,

64 squares.
.
By the 64th square, you get to an amount of rice that is far more than that has ever existed in the entire biological history of the earth!

And that artist became the richest man in ancient China,
(Other versions of the story have the Emperor simply assassinate the Artist for being a smart arse!)

1.2 every 20 years is very similar.
Count every 20 years as a single square on a chequered board.
.
But instead of 60 squares, you have an unlimited number extending into the future of the entire human race.
.
You are NOT simply adding 1.2 every 20 years!
.You are multiplying by 1.2 every 20 years!
.
Even at the supper unrealistically low number of 1.2, you are looking at the human population doubling in only 60 years!

Why 1.2??
Based on the cliche of a household having 2.4 children.
.
That means if each individual adult is producing 1.2 children.
Most people have a second child around their early 20’s (ish).
.
Ahh, but people are dying all the time.
That only changes the math significantly if they died without ever having children.
Plus 1.2 is super unrealistically conservatively optimistic.

If you want to have nightmares, then look at the actual world population growth up yourself!!
