.
I saw "Player One," I thought the main female love interest "Scar or Birthmark" actually made her look a lot more attractive!
.
But then I find that is true of more "Scared" fictional characters who are not evil bad guys.
.
I think if Hollywood really wants to be progressive then it should have genuinely disfigured main role romantic characters (In a mainstream blockbuster) rather than some crap slight nod to a disfigurement!
.
(Long yawn fest dramas look ing for their Oscar, don’t count!)
.
(TV series are a much worst offenders of this than films!)
.
Anyone else remembers that doomed “Vampire World Of Darkness” TV series where the horrendously Nosferatu was just some good looking guy shaved bald?
.
Or the several versions of “Beauty and the Beast” tv series where the so-called Beast was basically a well-ripped male model with disfigurement make up that just made their jar line stronger, more heroic and handsome?
.
Hell the new DEADPOOL had a half decent go to start then wimps out half way through all the possible makeup options!
.
It is like mainstream media at the writer level has good intentions,
.
BUT unfortunately,
.
The creative director lacks the balls to follow through when the character image is designed and created!
.
None of us here are stupid!
.
We all know why it happens.
.
I am just questioning whether it should still be happening anymore.
